yet again here i may be thinking too much into it, but I'm looking at a new trigger for my colt rifle.

I know that some of them have a larger pins for the fire control parts. I don't know if it's the old LE ones though. And since i dont' have my rifle and a caliper infront of me i figured this would work

mine has std. pins

but its the 6450

Are you sure about that?

I ask because I just put together a stripped Colt 9mm semi lower (LE marked) and it uses .170 pins. As far as I know, if it's a Colt semi, it uses large pins.

My late model Colt 6721 A3 Tactical Carbine which I bought last March have large 0.170 DIA FCG pins and pretty sure that the 6920 Law Enforement Carbine has the same size pins.

Jewell, Chip McCormick, even Bushmaster and others sells trigger sets with large FCG pins.

Most use .170 pins, but you really need to break out the caliper to be sure.

just ran and checked, i stand corrected. the pivot pin is normal though

Purchased a LE6920 in 1999, has .170 trigger/hammer pins.

Damn I'm really going to have to get my damn gun and break out the calipers lol...

ah well was worth a shot...

I guess if not and it's larger i could throw it on a drill press or a mill.
