I've decided to build my own 15" handguard, today I made a mid length from abs and its not quite what I want because I had to cut in half and the bottom is a tad larger than the top. With all my research I think I've decided to get a free float barrel nut, but was wondering if they are all the same size, thread pitch.....If anyone has any specs could you please post them? Would 1 1/4" abs thread onto the free float nut?

Almost all free float rails have a propitiatory nut that comes with the rail. Some just use the standard nut.
