I am interested in the scope I seen in the Bushmaster catalog. The scopes are the M - 600 and the M - 1200.  Does any one know if they are any good?

I had a 600-- the optics sucked.

Get a shepherd.  Better scope-- or one of the DPMS copies of the real vietnam leatherwood.-- better quality- but you still have issues with the mount wearing out.

I don't know about getting a "Leatherwood" made in China. Something seems wrong with that.

I will let you know.

I decided to try one myself. M-600 should be delivered on Tuesday the 27th.  I hope to get a chance to mount it and possibly shoot next week.

I had one of the original Leatherwood 6X scopes made in Texas. It was hard to zero, but once I got it, I was hitting wooden fence posts at 400 yards. Stupid me, I sold it for a bigger scope.

Received the M-600 from Bushmaster on Tuesday as scheduled.

Nice scope.   Optics are very clear and sharp.  Mount is built like a tank and the overall quality is very good.  The "framing"  grid marks for the auto ranging feature are extremely fine, but the quality of the optics makes them sharp, defined, and easy to see and use.

I  mounted the scope on a 20" flat top Bushmaster, and took to the range yesterday. Scope was very easy to sight in. They recommend 200 meter sight in for proper operation of the bullet drop conpensator feature, but do give a chart for sight in at 100 meters. I was shooting 100 yards, so had to use the chart to adjust impact for that range.  After all adjustments I shot a 5 shot group covering 1.75 inches which is pretty good for me.

Next step will be a coyote hunt to see how the auto range feature actually functions.

The only negative I see so far is the weight. The scope/mount  is a little on the  heavy side,  and does add weight to the rifle.

I am very pleased  with the scope.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. I will add that scope to my list.

Glad to hear it! I just picked up a 600 for a real deal.
Where in AZ are you? I am in metro PHX on the West side.
