Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Are CAR & M4 Handguards interchangable?

Noob question, I know. In any case, Im thinking up picking up a RRA 9MM CAR Upper but absolutely despise CAR Handguards. Can I just change them out for a set of standard Fat M4 handguards without any special tools/modifications?

CAR's are thinner, M-4's are thicker
