Have any of you tried a hand operated arbor press for FSB pins?  Wondering if it would make it easier and worth the $45 from Harbor Freight.

I think when they did some show on Colt Manufacturing I saw the FSB pins and a couple others were installed with an arbor press.  Probably not a bad idea if you want to spend the cash or work on them in volume.

It's no Dake press, but I've been happy with my harbor freight arbor LINK, looks like they also have a 1/2 ton as well that might be more ideal for pins LINK

I've used one, but also had a small bedding block to support the barrel in the proper orientation (it wants to rotate otherwise), as well as a specialized plug / pin to drive the pin out before the press contacts the barrel assembly.

My Grandfathers 8 oz hammer I got for free works fantastic.  Three whacks on each, and they are out on the last build.  I have removed 3 of the 5 I have built.  It takes a little getting used to, but after you know just how hard to hit it...No issue.
