I have built a FAL, built some AR's but I have got to say AR's are EASY.
Yeah, I had to spend  like $80 for tools from bushmaster (btw the wrench combo is made in china)
But it is EASY.
Took me all of 10 mins to assemble complete lower using the following tools
Punch, soft head hammer, and a flat head screw driver(pistol grip)
Upper took 15 mins.  I ran into some issues with the gas tube pin.

But Yep, AR's are easy.
If you can build a AK using rivets, then you can build a AR while you sleep.

Yup, if you have all the proper tools, and you can't assemble an AR, you should have your Man Card revoked.

Any monkey can put one together.  It's the trained monkeys that do it better.

I'm 16 and it took me like 5mins to build a lower ar with my dads tools. I used his punch set witch where the wrong kind of punchs by the way. Plyers and a some peaces of eletric tape.

I see our education system is getting better all the time!

I agree, building (or I should say assembling) an AR doesn't even qualify as "real" gunsmithing in my book.

C'mon fellas.....this is our future.  It's funny to crack jokes, but it's better than him bein' some libtard gungrabbin' puke.

Good on ya kid, now save some more money for your next build.

thats what i always thought, but you did hit upon an interesting point, "with the right tools" seems to be a hard concept for alot of people on here to grasp.

I've never built an AR ground up...Ive assembled one.

But last year when I was 16, I did a Screw Build AK74.
My father owns a Machine shop, so I had everything I needed.

Yea, my first AR build wasn't difficult enough, so I'm working on an 80% lower for my 2nd build to make it a little more challenging!
