I haven't seen it done before, but I've been toying with the idea of using two small weapons lights, stacked side by side in LaRue's LT 607.

Is it possible to assemble or wire the tailcaps to allow both lights to activate from the same pressure switch?

And for those of you asking why, my logic includes cost.  Two smaller lights my be cheaper than one large one.  And reliability.  Less likely to kill both lamps at the same time.

I mounted Streamlight TLR-1's at 6 oclock on my zombie guns.  The extra 4 ounces is cheap insurance if the main light goes TU, and the 90 minutes of non-dimming regulated output is nice to have on hand.  The system works well for me.  YMMV.

In my opinion, it's too much crap hanging off the gun.

A push button flashlight in a sturdy mount is all you need to supplement a holographic sight. YMMV.  Also, what lumen factor are you looking for?  60? 120?  240?

I'm running 2 scout lights on my house gun.  One with pressure pad, the other with the click tailcap.  That way I have one for momentary illumination and one for continuous illumination.  Having a backup light right there on the gun makes a great deal of sense to me, I have redundancy and extra illumination if needed.  There is an old saying, one is none, two is one.  The 2 scout lights don't weight much more than the 9 volt I took off and all you need indoors is 60 lumens.  When you are outdoors white lights are just bullet magnets, that's the time to use night vision.
