what differences are there between this and the 1.5-5x20 Mark 4 MR/T? I can get a good deal on the VX but can't on the MR/T

The VariX III is their older model. I have one and it works well for a flatop carbine. It's a good compliment to a head up type optic like Aimpoint or Eotech. I used Warnes extra high rings to mount it.

I have a VXIII 1.5-5X on my 510 Wells (related to 500 A square) and it does well in surviving the recoil

(I have considered "borrowing" it from my big bore and putting the optic on my BM 20" A3 for a general pupose optic)

I have one on my 458 socom with an illuminated duplex

Other than the SPR reticle, I don't see anything that gets me excited

I have one with the heavy duplex. Works very fast on target.....But hard to see small targets out past 100 yards.

I just received the MR/T and tried it out today. It is amazing and worth every penny. If you have less than perfect vision, or need reading glasses, the variable low power scopes work much better than the Aimpoints or Eotechs. I've used both and the blurriness is very distracting. The clarity of the scope is excellent, and the SPR reticle is so easy to use I like it better at 200 yrds than my MR/T 3x9. The only Trijicon I've used for comparison is the 4x SF model, the optics are just as clear but the eye relief isn't as forgiving in the MR/T. I'm one of the few it seems who like the CQ/T; the MR/T is even better.

Bad SVT,
I have never used the German duplex but it looks OK. But again if you want to get on target quick on deer/man sized targets the 1.5 X 5 VX-III with heavy duplex is nice.....But not for tiny targets.

i'm not really worried about shooting MOA with my ARs. I have my bolt gun for that.

I have a German #4 reticle Leupy VX III 1.5-5x20. I like it. It seems to be very fast on target.
