Stag Arms makes a 6.8 mm marked stripped or factory built lowers, see Eagle Firearms link below.

Global Tactical Supply will be releasing in the near future unmarked lowers made by Stag Arms.

There should be other manufacturers out there that are making the lower that you're looking for.

Interesting.. unmarked just as to caliber or "house marked" with GTS markings?

No caliber markings but with Global Tactical markings.

The selector area will be marked Safe - Semi not the usual Safe - Fire markings.

A couple more 6.8 questions while I have the floor:

Is the lower the same as for 5.56, or do I have to change hammer, buffer, etc?

What are the muzzle break/ flash hider options?  All the builds I can recall seeing have the
same one, which looks like a 3 chamber compensator of some kind.   Thanks.

Yes, the lowers are the same as 5.56 mm, no changes are required. You could experiment on springs and buffers or find out what others are using to eliminate any feeding problems.

The leading parts manufacturer of parts and compensators is PRI and you need 6.8 mm magazines from them also.

Bravo Company, Eagle Firearms and others are selling complete upper half.

ADCO will be making their version as soon as the ammo becomes more available probably this coming October.

I'm also waiting for ammo availability by this Fall before I start my 6.8 mm upper project.

That's the beauty of the lower without specific markings and you could custom make your own if you wish by sending it to Tom Sawyer Mfg for engraving.

On the second pic, NFA RULES APPLY.

I bought an Ameetec 458 Socom.
I had a minor pb and they took care of it - they seem to be OK.

DPMS also has forged lowers marked 6.8 SPC in stock and ready to ship, at least that is what they told me in an e-mail last week.  They did not give me a price though so I "assume" it is the same as a 5.56 marked lower.   My dealer back home is checking on that for me because he can do a lot better than MSRP on DPMS stuff.

Is it illegal to mark a lower "auto" even if it doesnt physically have the capabilities?

I do beleive Superior Arms also makes (or is going to make,I can't remember off-hand; might want to ask Robert from RB Precision) a 6.8-marked lower.

They might have some info in their thread in the EE.

Why not  just buy it direct from STAG ARMS call them up and they will ship it out right away or order it on their web site .     They have 6.8 lowers  as far as the eye can see. More than likely they have more 6.8 stripped lowers in stock than most so-called AR manufacters have regular 223 lowers.

I got one from Ameetec and it's quite nice. Went together easily and I like the "6.8 REM SPC" marking better than the Stag "6.8mm" marking. Now just need mags and ammo.
