Has anyone had any troubles with orders from Model1Sales.com?  I've had an oustanding order going on 1 1/2 weeks that still hasn't shipped (no items were listed as backordered), and they haven't answered any emails as to status.  It's listed as "being processed."  I called and was told that it won't ship for another week with no explanation.  The charges posted and cleared my credit card after just a few days.

Not sure if this is the forum for this, but didn't see anything under "Industry".  This is my first (and possibly last) order from them.

If you're serious: ARFCOM = ARFifteen.COM

If you're not serious:

No Problem if you don't mind waiting 6 mos for your order to come in.

Unfortunately I was serious..  I thought it might be a reference to AR15.COM   but couldn't figure out what the F was.    Figured it might be a subforum that I wasn't aware of.

Anyway... I've guess I've been spoiled by MidwayUSA.com.  Make an order there, you get an immediate email, then another when it's shipped (usually the same day you order it), and in less than 72 hours, it's on your front porch.    M1S customer service is pitiful by comparison.

Much agreed.

I've heard the folks at Model 1 Sales are extremely busy and you take your chances on the phone of getting really nice or really nasty or noone at all.

Never dealt with M1S directly because their stuff is usually so much cheaper at MidwayUSA. Been dealing with Midway since right around when they started back in the late 80s. 100% friendly, helpful, and professional on the phone when you have to call and like cantgrowup said their order processing and shipping is amazing.

ETA (Edit to Add): I forgot to mention that I've ordered a bunch of Model 1 Sales stuff: A set of standard handguards, 2 standard charging handles, 3 barrel assemblies, a stock assembly, and more misc. stuff; no complaints what-so-ever about M1S stuff.

Are folks that ordered online from M1S still having fraudulent chrages show up on their credit/debit cards?

My pistol kit came in one week.....I also paid with a cashiers check.  When I sent the check, I also sent a note to have them call when they recieved it....they called

I would use them again if I need something.

I've never done business with them on line.  They come to Tulsa for the Wannemacher gun show twice a year.  I buy from them there.  My "GO TO" on line AR store is Bravo Company.

Last I've heard people are still getting fraudulent iTunes charges on their credit cards.

One idea suggested (if you must buy from them) is to purchase a visa or mastercard gift card and use that to make your purchase.

I had problems.  Five months in I had two fraudulent charges on my credit card. Then it took two more months to ship my stuff. Seven months total. When I got my 20" barrel it had a rifle extension on and m4 upper. It would not feed. Called to complain and they told me to just fix it. Be careful with them.

My pistol kit came in at the expected delivery date. It took a while but was worth the wait. Communication was great and they were very helpful. I will order from them again.

I have order parts from them when they said it was going to be 6 weeks it took 3. But the bad part is that there is someone who likes taking credit card info and using it for personal reasons. So I would only recommend certified funds.

They had a large table at the Big Town gun show here in Dallas this weekend with a VERY large inventory of uppers. So availability of product doesn't seen to be the problem.

I had a Virgin CC that I used at M1s one month later 170 bucks worth of adult dating site charges. Never order from them again. The parts I got were as good or better than I expected.

I know they won't sell you a full auto bolt carrier group if you don't show them a tax stamp.  I ask just to fuck with them at every Indy 1500.

You know I had some Fraud charges on my card too and wondered where the heck they could have come from.............Shoes, adult sites, lots of Itunes.............Now it all makes sense.  Never attributed them to Model1, because I just had that one sucky order from them where they took 6 mos to deliver a simple upper that they where selling every weekend at the shows.  Those EFFFFFFFINNNG BASTAGES!!!!!!!!!!!! will never get an EFFFFFFFFFIINIIINNNG dime of mine or anyone I know ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this thread is about model 1 sales.
that pic is about the darth vader incident with the owner of m&a parts.
2 separate entities.

all of the talk of CC fraud puts model 1 on my do not buy list.

I have made one purchase from Model 1 and am distinctly unhappy with it.  Service was "OK" (nothing to jump up and down about), but the A1 buttstock I received looked like crap.  It had distinct mold lines and spru marks on the seams, and the stock itself looked like it had been beat with a chain; all marked up and scratched.  I know that didn't happen in transit because it was well padded with bubble wrap.

I will keep my eye on my card for fraudulent charges.....

I ordered a 20' stainless hbar with the target crown (barrel assembly) and it arrived a week later. They didn't send tracking info so I called them. They were polite and I had no problems with using my credit card.

I have order from Model one sales a barrell to be exact. This was during the Obama scare they said 6 weeks at least before it shipped it was shipped within 3 weeks. Now the downside I did experience the credit card fraud. So I now have a order in to them but this time certified funds. I will not pay by credit card again to them.
By the way the barrell was great.

There plenty of other places to get barrels at nearly the same price, rather than supporting someone who tried to scam you!!

I purchased a rifle kit successfully from Model One Sales many years ago. I ordered an A2 stock assembly last winter, and it was a piece of crap. The buttplate did not align with the stock when attached, and the door could not be opened. I ended up spending half again as much money ordering parts from Rock River Arms to fix the thing.

i bought an upper from them a few years ago. the bolt broke after 600 rounds. the upper was more than a year old and they still replaced the bolt. great service. the upper was bought before the rush so the shipping was quick.  2 weeks or so i think

I bought a 300-221 Fireball upper from them about two years ago.  I ordered by phone and had the upper within about a week and a half if I remember right.  That was the only time I have ordered from them, but no regrets.

I had fraudulent charges to the tune of $400 within a week of ordering from them. No more for me.
