My buddy that owns a gun shop here in town has a 14.5" Colt upper with the Vortex blind pinned/welded. It looks PERFECT and is a very nice combo overall. I beleive he had SAW LEsales do that when he ordered the gun a couple of years ago. The workmanship/quality is UNMATCHED with any aftermarket flashhiders I have seen in the past year since the ban expired.

I have three. One M4 and two light weights. I love the combo. I have a local gunsmith do two of them and KKF do one of the light weights that I had him cut down from a 16" Colt barrel. The newer Vortex looks better on the M4 than the old verson.

That is where I bought the gun and where I will have the work done. Tina is great and even Colt has nothing but HIGH praise for their work. I was going to have them cut my 16.1" but bought a SOCOM 14.5" instead.......

Thanks all for the juicy pix....can't wait now!!
