I'm looking at this one specifically:

Eagle firearms has it for 799 and form what everyone here has said they are very good to deal with I am going to get one of those as well but they are out of stock and not sure when they are getting any in.

I'm actually looking for the Entry Tactical, Chrome Lined (not chrome moly), 1/9 Twist, No-Ban Model, with detachable tactical carry handle. Eaglefirearms is selling that model (AR1251) for $869. Looks like ar15sales.com has the better price ($850 shipped) and it's in stock. I'll be calling my FFL tomorrow to have him fax over a copy of his license. The payment will be in the mail soon, too. Just wanted to give another thumbs up for Pete, he helped me pick out my dream rifle, and gave me an excellent price on it. I am still awaiting the shipment of it (he is still waiting for some parts), although I would reccomend him to anyone.

This dealer just gets those markings put on when he orders. Some people like them but they have nothing to do with anything government related.

I have bought from Pete and highly recommend Ar15sales.com/Legal transfers. With that said, the US Property marks are just his way of making his products distinctive from the other RRA stuff out there. Buy from him if you want good products and service but, don't read into the markings too deeply.

My local dealer called RRA earlier this week to order a few dozen stripped lowers and while he had them on the phone he happened to ask them about the pricing/availability of the Entry Tactical. A copy of his FFL was already enroute to Pete, but it turns out he was able to sell me the model I wanted with all the options I wanted (tactical handle, chromed bore, etc.) for $850 out the door. And since I would be buying directly from him, I wouldn't need to pay the $25 transfer fee. So, while I've been pleased with the responses I've gotten from Pete (ar15sales.com) and Larry (Knesek Guns), neither of them would be able to have the same rifle delivered to me for a better price.
It will be nice knowing that Pete will have my local dealer's FFL on file, though... I imagine it will make some impulse purchases a lot easier now. hanks Cheers, ~ Greg ~ |
