Hi guys,  Need some feedback on 44mag.com are they any good?  The reason I ask is they have USGI D&H teflon mag for $11.37ea  I am tempted to order some.  Thanks

[#1]
Yes,

I placed an order a few days ago.  Shipped very fast (ordered Thurs, arrived Monday Morning), and they had great communication over a backordered item I ordered.

I was mostly getting some more glock magazines, and picked up ten teflon D&H's.  I have a weekness whenever I see the discount at ten.....

The mags has the Restricted/LEO floorplates, body stamped 7 05.

I would order from them again without hesitation.

Thanks for your reply!  How is the teflon finish on their D&H mag?    Thanks
Link Posted: 11/7/2005 11:10:37 AM EDT
[#3]
Not sure what you mean exactly.  It is the basic teflon magazine finish, not any better or worse than on any of my other teflon mags from D&H.

Sorry for the confusion.  I just thought at that price $11.37ea they might be factory seconds/have some blemish or scratch.   If the finish is normal I will order some.  Thanks again

Ok,

See what you mean now.  These are the basic standard mag.  They normally have slight minor marks from shipping, but nothing compared to what a range trip will do to them.

Is there a difference between the Black mags and the Grey mags other than color? I was thinking about buying some of the black mags. www.44mag.com/prodinfo.asp?number=DH30B has them for $10.97 each. What do you guys think?

The finish on the black teflon mags feels a little smoother.

I just got my mags today!!! I ordered Tuesday and they arrived Thursday (standard shipping from Oregon to Georgia....WOW) They were the only place I found that sold full cap Glock and AR15 mags....one stop shop and all. I got Black Teflon (non leo) mags with green follwers for $10.97 and G18 with +2's for $26.99 each and G17's for $15.49 each.

Fast shipping, nice packaging, and great products....Mark even answered the phone when I called with a question. I bookmarked his site....will check him FIRST for all future orders.

Roy D....completely satisfied customer....why are they such a secret?

Placed an order on sunday night, and have not heard a peep out of them.  On sunday night, they were listed as in stock (Black teflon @9.9something).  Now they are listed as out of stock and backorder is avaliable.  Yet I have not recieved an e-mail concerning the situation.  If they asked me if I would take grey instead of black because the black ones were out of stock, then I would be happy, because they tried to fix the problem.  However I am a bit upset because of the lack of communication.  I dropped them an e-mail about 10 min ago, and I'll report what I get back.  Not saying that they are a bad company, just my personal experience so far.  If they come through and have a good explanation, then I'd have to say that they did what they could to make the situation right.  If not, then I guess I'll be shopping for a good deal on mags

Update:  Looks like over the weekend their computer didn't update the quantity, and they offered me grey teflons instead.  I'm don't have anything bad to say about what happened, oops.  Just wanted to update, as I don't want anyone thinking the wrong thing.  Since I cancelled my order and bought a magpul stock instead at a fun show (got a good deal), I can't post a review eithor way at this time.

Good to hear it all worked out for you.  It's also worth mentioning that when ARFcommers start a run on a partlicular outfit, supplies will begin to dwindle fast!

I also ordered from them on the 26th after seeing this and another thread.  I received order confirmation saying that my credit card would not get charged until the order was ready to ship.  On the 28th my card was charged.  After seeing that one of the items I ordered was now listed as out of stock as well as paying for priority mail I called on Friday the 2nd just to check the order and to let them know if there was a problem I would take all gray mags instead of half and half.  I got an email apologizing for the delay and I was told that my order was in stock and would be shipped on that day or Monday the 5th at the latest.  Well I have received nothing as of yet but still expect to receive the mags in the next day or two.  I have no reason to believe any foul play but after paying for priority mail coming up on two weeks is starting to get me a little worried.  The e-mail I was sent was very polite and said that they have received many orders recently and were behind.

I guess the point of this at this time is just to say they may be running a little behind probably because of all of us that ordered from them after seeing the posts here about 2 and 3 day delivery as well as good prices.

Why is a good thing they aren't shipping new mags to me in NJ??

Are you working for 44mag.com??? Or the Minnesota weather got to you??

44mag.com is not a good business man.

I live near 44MAG and was just there yesterday buying my new TAC16 suppressor h.gif <- That's what I look like when I think about my new TAC16!

They have dozens of cases of AR15 mags stacked to the ceiling! Mark the owner said he was swamped and asked me to come back after 5 (if it was ok with me) since he had no joke a full truckload of packages he needed to get to USPS before they closed. Just an FYI since I know how it is to wait for parts.

I just got my order in from 44Mag. EXCELLENT service! He upgraded my shipping to priority for free and the DH 30rders w/ Magpuls were already being sold at a great price.

I did notice their mags had DSG floorplates with DH CAGE codes on the body. The gray teflon finish is beautiful... it's smooth and durable. I'm not sure why my D&H mags from DSGArms are of a matte like finish and rough.

Anyhow, I give a big +1 to 44Mag.com

They were shipped on Tuesday, I received them Thursday. Excellent fit and finish. Drop free and lock back tests are fine. Excellent service and prices. I paid for standard shipping when I ordered them on sat. I emailed on tues. for a shipment confirmation and they emailed that they were shipping that day. I just looked at the box and they had upgraded the shipping to priority for free.

I ordered 15 of the grey 30rdrs for $9.97 each and had them delivered via snail mail for $4.95. Shipped in less than a week. Great service when emailed, fast response, fast shipping, good packing, and great mags.....I think I will buy another 10 mags before the end of the year. The price is suppose to go up after the first of next year.

They have (on the Featured Products page) three sets of magazines available to order.

Item #: CP30 for 8.99 - Current Mil-Issue mags
Item #: DH30G for 9.97 - USGI Gray Teflon
Item #: DH30GMP for 11.97 - USGI Teflon with magpull follower

I'm just not sure which set to get!  With the slight price differences between them, it's tough!  All of my current mags are the standard aluminum with the green followers (Bushmaster AR-15), would it be worth it for the magpull's?  I've just been told to only get the green followers for my AR mags, so that makes me a little hesitant.  :)

I've never had any problem with green followers (I never had a problem with the black ones either and I still have quite a few of those) so I have never and likly never will pay extra for the "magpull" followers. Just my oppinion.

Get the ones with the Magpul.

The green followers will tilt if you push down the front part. I've hadmy Lula snap back a few times because the followers tilt. I've gotten the green followers to jam also. Many will argue that its impossible to jam the green followers in normal usage, but the soldiers I talked to say that slapping the mag during training will generally solve 99% of your malfunctions.
