that's only a couple of rounds more than a sten mag, i'm not sure if it's worth the effort.

Now, getting those suovi drum mags to work, that'd be cool as hell!

Already converted a suomi with a sten tower.  You need to convert the tower to single-stack with rods (ala Indian railway sten mags) to get the rounds from the drum to feed reliably up the tower.

With a sten mag cut to just below the magwell for a 9mm AR, single-stacked, you wind up leaving 14 rounds in the tower - load 85, shoot 71.

What is the common practice for the feed lips on the drum?   Leave the welded plate and open the slot with a mill?  

I got (7) drums to work with, so Sten for M11 is part of the plan, along with Uzi towers. Does angle of tower really matter, or is it just a cosmetic thing?
