As the title says..

It use to be cheap but now its getting close to the price of .40, i may start shooting the glock 23 more often.

Nah... Capacity and 'all the pistol round you'll ever need' do it for me...

Ammo (esp Wolf and Winchester light FMJ) being cheap is a bonus for me...

I went to a oly 9mm upper because of fairly cheep ammo which in theory should always be available and the fact that many indoor ranges that  don't allow rifle caliber will allow a pistol caliber carbine.
Before the Colt and RR guys jump on me , I bought this during the ban because it was a good deal price wise and it came with a bunch of mags (stens). The oly has run flawless but if I had it to do again today I would try to get the flatop and the unit set up for glock mags as the stens are really too long and are a PITA to load .
After I got the oly I realised that my Ruger police carbine was a real piece of junk (horrible trigger that I could never deal with well) but I had a friend who wanted it (trigger and all) so I traded him for a G17 that I really like to shoot

I tend to feel the same way about the 9mm.

However, as a side note, cheaper ammo means I can buy more, and I think more ammo to practice with means greater proficiency, and greater proficiency in shooting your chosen round, whatever it may be, is worth a hell of a lot more than the ballistic advantage a .40 S&W might give you over a 9mm Para for instance.

I was in a patrol rifle class and some of the students had to use range guns, being Rugers carbines in 9 and 40. They were pretty reliable but the sights were a joke. There wasn't any way to adjust the rear sight unless you took it apart. Ths took a lot of time away from the class on the 50 yd. prone sight -in.

anyways back to the question.

"Anyone choose 9mm Firearms becuase of price of the ammo."

I wouldn't say choose I would say having an alternative. 9mm is pretty cheap and cheaper to reload especially if you get all the 9mm brass you want for free.

I'm currently in the market for a 9mm AR because it's cheaper to shoot than .223.

I've started using my 9mm MAX-11 subgun in semi-auto mode at some local close-range Practical Rifle matches... half the price of .223 and very handy. The lock time on an open bolt subgun sux though .

I hope to take a defensive handgun class later this spring. 1000 rounds, no reloads. My choice is 9mm HiPower, Sig .45 cal or Glock 10mm.

Survey SAYS.............HiPower. I can reload them later for around 8 cents.

I handload, so they all cost the same for me, minus powder cost.  I shoot .45 because it's what my 1911 takes.

I bought a 9mm conversion barrel for my Glock, it's a lot cheaper to shoot than the .40.  Also it's like having a G17 and a G22

Yep, that's one reason I just bought a kel-tec sub 2000 in 9mm/

I can still buy 9mm for $105 per K, so I love the stuff and I'm running the 9s more and more as time goes by.

For my handguns - yes.  I have more 9mm handguns than all my other handgun chamberings combined, followed by .45 ACP (because I like it too, it just costs more) for two reasons:

Bullets for 9mm are a helluva lot cheaper than the others at Wally World
I think 17 rounds of 9mm is enough firepower in a handgun

For rifles, hell no, a rifle is a rifle and I'm sticking to 5.56 and 7.62 (and .50 BMG ) for those.

That's just what i did... and i love mine!

I'm trying to keep all my guns in the same cal. as of now.  When i get more money i will add more.  But as of now it's 9mm all the way.
