[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Anybody know the velocity of 9mm from a 16" barrel ?

I was curious what the velocity was for WWB or any ammo from a 16" barrel ?

I know the velocity is about 75-100 fps faster going from a Glock 17 to a Glock 34 (.83 inch difference) but what effect does going to a 16" barrel have ?

Check out 9mm Carbine Ammo tests. WWB from a 16" carbine is between 1283 and 1344 fps.

That's it? I thought hot 9mm from a 5'' barrel was getting 1100-1200 fps...

What does defense/full power (not even super hot) get from a 5'' barrel?

??? The chart shows that certain loads will achieve those velocities from a 5" bbl.
