There is a scratch on the bottom of my barrel that is maybe 5". I think it came from the barrel and a metal part on a bipod contacting because I can see some metal knocked off of the bipod. It is a very light scratch and is gold colored like copper. Anyone know of a way I can get this off in case I sell my barrel? I tried CLP on it and letting it sit overnight, then wiping it off the next day but that had no effect.

Try 7.62 solvent.. Not knowing how bad your scratch is... I use it to take aluminum marring off bbls. after I pull them.. ( the vise jaws marr the bbl)

If you would use an action block kit, you wouldn't have ANY marks.

And BTW, solvent will remove the scratch, that and a brass bore brush.

The guys above helped you.

So I'll be the first to say it.......Put a bigger scratch on top. You won't notice the one on the bottom

I use Break Free lubricant with CLP and then scrub it with a tooth brush... It also works to remove the marks that my gold wedding band leaves on my COLT lower
