Wondering if DPMS is the only place to buy one separately? I'm looking for the DPMS .308 rifle length low rail (A3 height) quad rail handguard. DPMS sells it for $189 but I haven't been able to find any other place the sells it. I'll be installing it on my 16" AP4 .308 (already swapped to a low pro gas block).

Also, does anyone know the weight of the above handguard? I can't find any stats on it.

I have installed the Daniel Defense Lite Rails on DPMS 308's
You have to request a special barrel nut and there was some special machining to get the two top rails to align. SWS will also offer 308 handguards with a DPMS barrel nut. |

I am thinking about ordering the AP-4 .308 with the DPMS rifle length rail handguard instead of the carbine length handguard is that possible and is it going to create problems for me down the line.

They will have to use a low profile gas block to fit under the handguard, but otherwise, there should not be any problems. |

I'm on the verge of buying an SASS and swapping otu the handguards for a JP tube. if you're interested in picking up the DPMS quad rail lemme know...

You really should consider the DD lite rail. Here it is on my .500 Phantom and the really nice thing about the DD rail is the top rail is perfectly in line with the top rail on the DPMS LR-308 A3 upper. It is hard to tell from the picture and the top rail has covers on it, but it does align perfectly.
