I really like this scope and it's features. Is there any other scopes available that have similiar features? I will pay up to about $500 for a scope.

for 500 dollars, I would suggest the compact ACOG in 3x with the BAC triangle reticle.  it will cost about 100 dollars more with mount and all, but you will end up with a great combat optic.

For the price, IOR stands along in that field.

Are IOR scopes considered to be excellent quality? Please excuse my ignorance, I am just not familiar with IOR and don't know too much about optics in general.

IOR is a old company from the Eastern european block, it makes very good scope especially for the price.  There is nothing on the market right now will touch the M2 for its value. I am getting a IOR M2 for my HK 91 as soon as i can bring that project from the back burner.

I just picked up a Leupold 6x42 AO target knobs with mil-dot. Looks like a great scope. I was thinking about the IOR 6x as well.

If you like the scope why not buy more?  They make then in a variety of powers and they sell for under $400 (if you're paying more than $400 for an IOR M2 you need to learn how to use Google )

When you do, IM me.  I have a brand new M2 in .308, that I'll sell you for below retail. I love the scope, but I want to replace it with a different IOR.

What mounts do you have for this critter, I need something for my shorty M14.

The mount I prefer is the IOR Heavy Duty Picatinny...

This is also how Smith Enterprises outfits their DMRs

With an M14, this is the best way to mount it.
Other, more optic-friendly rifles, like ARs, HKs, and FALs, can use two rings.

This is what I intend to replace the M2 with:
(it's like a cross between the Leupold CQT, and a USO SN-4)
