Here's a pic of the ACE ARFX-E Shorty Skeleton stock. I love it. You might want to try a search (toward the uppper right of the page) for ARFX or ACE. There has been alot of topics on these lately.

If you're not getting any hits then you're not entering something right. Double check the parameters you're entering for date range and board to search. This has been covered often including another thread just like this one that is currently running in the "Slings and other accessories" forum.

And just for the record, I couldn't be happier with either my ARFX or my old DR200 stock. Ace makes some really good stuff. Original designs that are durable and built to last.

do you have yours on a Flattop or an A2 upper?
Link Posted: 9/26/2003 6:10:44 AM EDT
Both. I've got several more uppers than I do lowers. The stock works well with both styles.

OK dumb question does it look right on a A2 i know it looks bad a$$ on a flat top

I put a full length ACE on my carbine a couple days ago. I like the stock a lot. The sling swivel it the wrong angle for me. going to add a receiver plate sling mount. Mine is an A2 and I think it looks good. Pics: [image]http://edumart.com/tj_test_items/img/MVC-872F.JPG[/image] [image]http://edumart.com/tj_test_items/img/MVC-871F.JPG[/image] tj

One thing about the Ace stocks, while they look great on a carbine, they seem to look out of place on a 20" gun. I tried it and put my carbine lower w/ the ARFX on my 20" A2 and it just seemed out of place. Cav, that looks great on your AR! You rarely see A2s, seems like everybody has flat tops (I'm guilty, 3 flattops to 1 A2). Scot

Ace stock, Bushy super lightweight barrel assy, polymer hanguard rail system with polymer light body and light holder, lightweight vertical grip, compact ACOG. (3/4 circle bolt carrier, but that's coincidental) Don't know how much it actually weighs. yet... Edit: This things begs for the ARFX-E...

I put one on my new build and it looks proportional to me: http://www.ofoto.com/PhotoView.jsp?UV=253476166745_176688570103&collid=864923570103&photoid=962398570103 The scope sits too low. I'll need higher rings or a scout rail to get proper eye relief.

Works great on my setup:

Well, maybe the reason I didn't like the Ace stock on my 20" A2 is that my 20 incher is totally stock. While I like to accessorize, I also find completely stock guns to be cool, and the Ace just made it "modified". If that logic makes any sense? How about an Olive Drab paint job on an Ace stock? That one guy has that awesome camo'd AR with an Ace stock so it can definitely be done! Scot
