Do any of you old Arfcomers remember Hawksview ammo?It was great stuff,I have about 800 rds of 55 gr. soft point Speer sitting loose in an ammo can.

I think I am going to put it on stripper clips and seal 'em up with Foodsaver for a rainy day.

Do any of you have tips for such an endeavor?

Hawksview!! That's a blast from the past.
I've still got maybe two ammo cans (~2000) round of Hawks ammo left. It was good stuff, and he was easy to deal with.

I haven't spoken with him in a long time. Wonder if he still sells that great ammo. He's just a couple hundred miles north of me, maybe I'll check him out.

I tracked him down about two years ago, because I wanted more.He said he doesnt fill orders anymore. To bad because he made great ammo.My 55gr Speer I got from him was very accurate, reliable cheap stuff.Great for varmints!

Thats why I never shot the rest of it since I cant get it anymore.Troy I found the part on the Oracle about Storage,Thanks for the tip.

Ah yes, I remember it well. Good ammo, but I would stick to factory mil-spec type ammo for storage.
