Lothar Walther has developed a new Hybrid Light Weight Barrel using steel and aluminum. Not much
of a track record but it looks like a spin off of a Beyer product. Available for rimfire and centerfire, AR
profiles available.

Maybe not in 22LR, but this looks like it'd be wicked in a full size centerfire rifle!
