It might be a good time to consider picking up some ammo - UPS shipping costs are going up ~6%, a few dealers have had significant price increases in the new year, but some good deals remain:

Widener's is so far holding the price on their exclusive of XM193 - $210 + shipping.

Q3131 is available from a few dealers - Outdoor Marksman and Natchez for ~ $209 + shipping, Northwest Loading for $239.99 + shipping.

Widener's still has good stock of XM855PD at $179 + shipping.

And big jumps in AE223 and WOLF - Wholesale Hunter just got in ~30,000 rounds of AE223  - $182/1000 + shipping, Midway up to $239.99 + shipping.  WOLF - Sportsmans Guide and Ammunition Store  - ~$105 + shipping, Ammoman and Centerfire over $140 delivered.

Details at the Ammo Price List, prices and availablility updated daily.

Why hasn't Widener's sold out of the XM193?
They are the only ones I have seen on the net who have had it in stock for any length of time.
The price isn't out of line, considering how difficult it is to find right now.
Just doesn't make sense.  Usually, a vendor is sold out within a couple days. Sometimes even hours, after announcing that its back in stock.

Thank you brillo for taking the time to keep us updated on ammo prices. It saves us lots of browsing time looking for the best prices.

Got the Natchez JAN/FEB 06 catalog that had XM193 ON SALE for less than $200/1000... Hmmmm???? Maybe they got some in?

I hopped and skipped to the phone to order... but alas.... FOILED!

They are STILL SOLD OUT! Why put it in the catalog then....

I know no one is asking about it but.......

Georgia arms makes some awesome ammo for $160/1000rds with a free ammo can. Very high quality brass stuff , I bought a box of thier 'precision plus' ammo to try out. I ended up getting about .5MOA with the stuff out of my model1 20" 1-9 SS/Fluted setup.

I've been getting the Wolf 62gr HP from SG and it usually comes out to about $124 shipped.

If it goes any higher than that, I'll have to start shooting less.

Just got back from a funshow in P'cola. I could not belive the way ammo prices have rose since the last show in Nov. I usually pick up a box or two of XM193. And was looking to purchase some of the Winchester or LC 855 going around. But it was 20% more than on line suppliers are listing, less shipping.  And dealers refused to haggle, stating that they just can't GET IT!!!
I think I will order on-line when ever possible, and shot less and save more for a rainy day.

Thanks for nuthin', Brillo. I'm going to have to send the family out to forage for roots and nuts, because Wideners just got all the grocery money.
