I have a buddy who has 66 boxes of .223 PMP ammo for $120. Is this a good deal? Is this ammo any good?

I had about 2500 rounds a year ago, fired it all.  It's OK.  A bit weak (I tried running my AR dry and it would FTF with it - with XM193, no problem).  Also kind of dirty.  Better than Wolf.  Not ammo I'd depend on with my life, but good cheap plinking ammo.  At $0.09 a round, I'd pick it up.

I'd buy that in a heartbeat for range ammo.

300 rds .223, thousands in 30-06-no problems.  a bit less than wolf without the steel case...DO IT!

I ran 1000 rds of 223 PMP.  I had one round that did not have a powder charge.  The primer lodged the bullet in the barrel that had to be knocked out with a cleaning rod.  It is alright as plinking ammo.
