I just ordered 2 cases of xm193 from Wholesale hunter.......Back ordered......... crap.
Any one have any experience with their American Eagle .223 . My AR only has 160 rounds through it,
is the AE .223 hot enough to cycle properly?? Or is it low quality stuff???
thanks,
Joel

It's Fedrals budget load but it iS GREAT AMMO, I get 1/4 inch groups @ 100 YDS. with it. I have tried more expensive ammo but to no avail my groups have not got any smaller. I've got about 4000 rds of it now and have shot around 10000 rds NEVER I REPEAT NEVER had a problem with it. Ifyou have a 1:9 twist try 50gr. JHP or 55gr FMJBT for 1:8 twist 62gr FMJ.
I've been using AE for years if you have anymore Questions email me

Ammoman usually has XM193 in stock.

Are there any .223 loads that won't cycle the rifle reliably?

I have had 2 people  tell me that they have had problems with Wolf when their AR's were new.

Lightspeed, AE 55gr. fmjbt is definately not Wolf. I have never gotten results close to 1/4moa, but it is  [ federal ] decent ammo. As suggested, call Natchez and get some. Try a 500rd. case and see for yourself. Especially if you have a 9 twist gun. If you buy the wolf [ flame suit on ] , you will not have followed the advice you have recieved here.

The only reason Wolf came iin as an idea is 89.95 per 1000.00  Polymer on Amunitionstore.com.
Natchez has AE  for 2.99 a box, can't pass  that up. Us new guys have lots of basic information to catch up on. The last 6 months it was"Parts" and stuff, now it is ammo .
Thanks,
Joel

I have gone thru approx 4,000 rds of FAE over about 18 months. Not one issue, none.  Absolutely consistent quality and very good accuracy. IMHO you can't go wrong with it. I pay about $110 for a case of 500 at my local dealer, so $3/bx is a great price.
