Bobro, LaRue, .... I haven't been, but no problems. Should I start ? ( Basically if it's fine the way it is, is worth the pain in the ass when you wanna switch scopes/mounts ? As in Red Loctite btw..
Edit: Yes, for the rings. First time I've had POI shift with a well known extended eye relief mount. Everything felt tight. Never had this issue with the standard eye relief mount.

Blue on the screws for rings, no red.  Red is for stuff you don't ever want to take apart ever as you often requires heat to take it apart.

How much POI shift did you have?  Did you have the QD lever adjusted correctly and did you slide it forward when you attached it on the rail so it cannot move forward under recoil.

Yes but I took it off to hit my buis and the rifle was HOT. Like 225 rnds in 25 min hot. My mount came with red but I'll get some blue. Weird POI shift I just want to diagnose it ASAP. Yes I pushed down ans forward when depressing locking levers like I've done 30 times before on different systems. I realllly hope it's not a scope prob. The second time this new mount has done this.
Edit : very slight slight shift 1 in. Left 1 1/2in down. Something's up. I will repeat this procedure for a 3rd time to make a definite conclusion. Only happens after I remove the optic/mount then replace. However both times were in the middle of reasonably fast strings of fire. Warping? Shit I dont know, but if I wanted permanent rings I would have bought em. When I clean my rifle I dont want to worry about  taking it off to bc fear of POI shift. Shit wasnt cheap ya know..

A quick detach mount is just that. No need for loctite, super glue, or tape. You are shooting low left, which usually, indicates you are preparing for the recoil and over compensating. I would check for user error.

I typically use the blue thread locker that comes with LaRue mounts. I use it on the rings. It isn't a pain in the ass remove the screws that have the appropriate thread locker on it. The thread locker just keeps the screws from backing out.

A good QD mount should not have any POI shift. Some QD mounts are not as good as others. I don't know if lack of thread locker on the rings is the cause of the POI shift unless you have reason to believe that the screws are backing out.

If you remove your mount, put it back on and your group has a true & consistent POI shift (not user error or barrel heat/warp) then I would say its likely the mount. Here is a good example of POI shift from a mount that doesn't return to zero.

2 shooters man. I'm pretty steady on my GA SSA-E. It's not the loctite on the torx nuts that's the causation. But something is different. I'll make a call and see what they have to say. Definetly not the scope. Regular mount no prob. Extended eye relief mount ,same manufacture, problem. It could be heat. Nice Avatatar. 1/3.

What mount are you having a problem with?

I imagine if you call the manufacturer/vendor and tell them that you are firing 100s of rounds in 20-some minutes ... I imagine they will say that your barrel is the cause of the POI shift.

I would take the weapon out, fire a group, let it cool down, remove/reinstall the mount, fire another group and see if your POI shifts. If you do this a few times using fresh targets you should see if your POI is shifting every time you remove/reinstall the mount. If you are in fact having a problem then I would contact the manufacturer. The BEST case scenario is that you get a new identical mount sent to you. If that happens I would certainly double & triple test that new mount too.

Unfortunately I'm leaving to Project Victory in Galveston Tx for 9 weeks so it'll have to wait. Hate having unresolved technical issues.

Solid advice. Its a Top manufacturer with a proprietary locking system. Very high quality and has worked well for me in the past. Wish I had access to one those premium 5 figure high speed cameras
