What are the draw backs to mounting a aimpoint on a A2? how does it look?  How does it shoot?

should I just stick with irons?

Switching to a flat-top upper isn't very expensive and it's a hell of a lot better than mounting it to the A2's carry handle.

I think it looks good on the carry handle, looks like the BHD/ delta look

You could use either the Aimpoint gooseneck mount or an ARMS #39, which would lower the Aimpoint and put it out front.  I use the ARMS #39 and it is great.

..........Nothing wrong with the aimpint on the carry handle with a goose neck mount. I also have an aimpont on a flat top and I like them both.
