How does the Aimpoint T-1 family of optics match up against the Sig STS 081? Has anyone out there performed a side by side test. At $149.00 from Botach you can buy 3 or 4 of the Sig sights for the price of one Aimpoint. For stateside law enforcement/home defense use is the price delta for the Aimpoint justifiable? For you folks with personal experience with these two products, I would like to hear what you have to say.

I've got the sig red dot right here and a T-1 at home. The T-1 is better because it's more water resistant, more rugged, it's NVD compatible, and it has a 50,000 hour battery life. It's also an original product.

If no one's life is depending on it, I'd use the sig, and I bought one just for that reason, but on the rifle I might have to use to protect myself, I won't use a cheap knock-off optic with a low battery life and questionable durability.
