Can anyone please tell me why are aimpoint scopes supposed to so great im comparing eotech to aimpoint

Eotechs EAT BATTERIES like mad.

Aimpoints run forever, even if they are left on. New models can run 5,000 - 10,000 hours.

Both are durable. Both companies really support their products.

I used to run Eotechs, but run Aimpoints exclusively.

i have both.....i dont consider one to be so much better than the other. i just happen to prefer aimpoint.

If I take my glasses off, the Eotech reticle is useless.  With an Aimpoint it doesn't seem to change.

For me its because of the battery life, ergonomics and a lot less failures with Aimpoint.

aimpoints have a smaller dot if you want it.
smaller over all size (micros)
crazy long battery life.

We have a mix of new/old Aimpoints on all the M4A3's in the squadron. I love em. 'Quick target acquisition' is what I like compared to a magnifying scope/optic. "unlimited eye relief" and "parrelax free" (put the dot on it anywhere in the tube, which you can easily see, and it will hit)

The Aimpoints something I like, have trained on, and works well for me. But I've never used an EOTech, so I can't compare them.

Buying one very soon, preferably an ML3, 2 MOA. Meets my needs the best.
