I really like some of the FF tubes by LaRue or Daniels Defense but they are way out of my pricerange. The YHM lightweight model is ok but it doesnt look very sturdy and quite frankly I dont like the way it looks. Im looking for something around 150 bucks in a carbine model. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hummm, the expensive ones are TOO expensive, and the cheaper ones are TOO cheap looking for your tastes.

I'd say your shit outta luck, until your tastes change or ya get a raise.

Mike

ps - fwiw, I own a YHM lite-weight FF 12.0 forend on my CR6724 and am very happy with it.

I'd go with the one piece YHM as it doesn't have the incompetent longitudinal cuts along the rails. Not only do those cuts make it a PIA to hold, but they also cause issues with some accessories.

Honestly, save up the extra $100 as it's more than worth it.

I really like the MI two-piece tactical handguards, I just wish they made a FF model. I looked at their websight and they said they have it in the works, anyone know the ETA? I think that would be right up my alley as far as what im looking for.

I've gotten two DD 7.0 rails systems off the EE, one for $200 and one for $225.  They are out there if you are diligent.

Honestly, you'll slap yourself when you set your low quality rail next to a Larue even with that extra $100 in your pocket. I'm not trying to be rude, but rails are one of the biggest areas of quality variances there are. If you ever hold a Larue and cheap'ee at the same time, you'll understand.

For that price get a non-FF tube, like an MI rail from Bravo Company.  Just a bit over $100 and they look great and are very solid.
