The COP seems to be very reasonably priced when compared to other Mono or polylithic uppers. I am considering using one on a 12.5" SBR, but would like to hear some feedback before I dump $500 on one. If you have one, what was your first impression of it and are you happy with it. A few pros and cons would be great too.  Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. If I don't go with the COP, I will most likely use a VLTOR VIS.

Brian,
I also like the idea of being able to put a rail where I want it or leave it off as well. Am I blind or do you not carry them?

I love the different side rails, and its lighter

Well.... I got a COP. I installed a Colt SOCOM barrel, Matech BUIS, A2 FH, LMT BCG, and used the factory Colt FSB. Torquing the barrel nut was an ass pain because the upper will not fit into my vise block, but I managed. Did you use blue Loctite on the Torx screws for the rail inserts? I haven't gotten a chance to go to the range with this rig yet, but it is a pretty slick unit. The only thing that sucks is that I can only use it on my wife's NFA lower I'll get my own sooner or later though.

Yes, this is what I want to know as well. I have a plan for a new SBR brewing from this already...

I really like this upper and can't wait to see what this SOCOM barrel will do. If it is close to as accurate as my 6940, I will be happy. This may be my favorite upper. The interchangeable rail inserts let me make it what fits my needs instead of having rails all over that I never use and have to cover. Great job Aero Precision and speacial thanks to Brownell's for having it at a great price. Properly indexing the handguard was a snap and it is rock solid. No movement whatsoever

It was supposed to be available a while back, but I haven't seen or heard of anyone who has one in-hand. After SHOT would be my guess.
