Looking for advice on quick release scope rings. I don't want a "cheap" pair, but don't want to get killed. I looked at the Warne QR rings, but no experience with them

Here is my set up

AR15 with A.R.M.S.® #38 Ex Swan® Sleeve and flip up rear sight

Leupold M8 10x40mm A.O. scope

I am not even sure what the height rings to get

thanks,
H

To go on top of the #38, ARMS #22M(medium) rings would plave the scope's axis at the same height as the iron sights. You would also need a set of ring reducers, though.

Go with the Warne, I have them and I am very happy. They are steel and heavy, but I feel they are worth the weight.

+1 on the Warne rings. Great rings and price.

Not sure on the height you need though. I had to use the ultra high model to mount my Mueller 4-16X50 AO/IGR to my flatop. This resulted in the correct scope height for correct cheek weld and clearance of my BUIS.

Good luck.

A.R.M.S. QD Rings have worked well for me in the past, mounted to a picatinny rail.

If you go ARMS with that setup, you'll want the medium rings, however....

From personal experience, I have found that the rear bell of my Leupold Mark 4 will not clear the ARMS 38 flip sight when using ARMS 22 Medium rings on the ARMS 38 sleeve. There is also not enough room to slide the scope forward to fix the problem either, unless you have a super extended model. Time to rethink for me.

Just a thought.
