Planning on building up either a RRA or Ameetec (not sure which yet) as an M4 and not sure which upper I should get.  I am currently set on getting a chrome chamber and bore to make it as durable as possible.  Want it at 16" length without the flash hider so I can leave it detachable.

So far I have found the following options:

Model 1 looks cheapest but The others aren't all far off so I am wondering if I am going to regret getting the model 1?  Does anyone recommend any other source for good quality at a reasonable price?  Has anyone ordered this specific model from model 1 with the chrome lined chamber and bore and does the quality look good?

Might also look at DPMS from CCMG.... they should have that same thing.

I would rate Bushmater as the default standard.... they have been doing the chrome lined barrels longer than any of the others on your list, but I doubt you would be unhappy with barrels from anyone listed.

For the $30 difference... I would go with Bushmaster.  Check with Eagle Firearms and see what he can ship you one for.

I should point out something. I'm pretty sure the $495 for the Model 1 is a complete kit minus a stripped lower whereas the Bushmaster is only a complete upper, not a kit, so the price difference is a lot more than it seems. I'm probably going to get the Model 1 myself. If the prices were really that close I'd get a Bushmaster too.

I got a complete M4 upper (14.5" chrome lined 1:7) from del-ton for 530 with a BCG, phantom 5c2,  and a YHM 4 rail FF tube.  The parts are mostly DPMS.
