Found this little baby when I purchased 100 rounds to shoot one day.

Good thing I was checking the rounds as I loaded the Mag. href=http://images1.pictiger.com/thumbs/fa/d7eb5ce048be9039d9ce45d115ff24fa.th.jpg

It looks like a batch of the special Spetsnaz ammo got exported accidently.  I hear Navy Seals will sell a testicle for a few rounds of that stuff.

I sent a email to Wolf and they wanted to see a picture of it.

I think they should overnight me on round.

Knowing them they probably would

I got another email from Wolf today this time they offered to send me a box to replace the bad round. Sounds like good customer service, but we'll see if I get it or not.

Wolf customer service seems to be top notch, so I don't doubt you will get a new box of ammo.

It happens.  More often it happens with reloaders, especially those with Dillon presses, as the priming system won't get the primers right-side-up 100% of the time unless you do everything by hand, and that gets old quick.

Careful there Troy or those Dillon helicopters with the twin miniguns may pay you a visit.

The only time I have seen this on my Dillon is when the primer arm hangs up then lets go and jumps resulting in a primer flip. Learned that the hard way too.

Holy crap! there is a CD stuck on the end of that thing!  How did they get it to fit in the box?

Don't get me wrong; Dillon presses are top-of-the-line, and are pure blue ammo goodness.  It's just that the tube-feed design for the primers allows for this possiblity, as do the automated loaders for those tubes.  It's not going to happen often, but it will happen occasionally.

What is perfect, anyway?

-Troy

When you load tens of thousands of rounds, it happens.  I still won't have anything other than a Dillon.

Rounds like that slip through even on the high priced ammo from time to time!

Happened to me on my Lee and RCBS once. But I have yet to see it from factory loaded ammo. Good eye!

Tagged to see if he posts when he gets his box.

That's pretty cool if he gets it... Wolf customer service would be doing a good representation of how to handle a mistake.  They could have told him "tough, don't buy anymore"

not as bad as that federal round about a year ago or so that had a pretzel in it, probably in the archives somewhere, too lazy to search for it

I had a Hornady 55 gr v-max lock up my AR when I pulled the trigger.  They didn't drill a primer hole in the brass.  The primer went off but no powder.  I had to use a hammer and a piece of 2x4 to get the charging handle back.

Wow, now I'm going to look at each round a little closer when I load up the magazines.  Thanks for the heads up!

I don't think I have ever heard anyone say otherwise about them.  They always seem to try to go out of the way to make people happy.
