Hey gang,

I was looking at the AAC Rail on their site at this address: www.advanced-armament.com/ar-15.htm and noticed that they sell a package with a grip for $45

Then...I went to the order form (www.advanced-armament.com/orderform.htm) and they have the AAC Rail for $49 by itself or $99 with a KAC foregrip...no mention of a swiss foregrip.  Not sure what to think.  Dropped them an e-mail but have not heard back in three days (could be the holidays).

Anyone order the AAC rail with the swiss foregrip for $45.00 or do they have a misprint on their website?

Thanks!

Drivie

drivie,

i have the mini rail + foregrip from AAC. got it from them this past oct. their website has it as $99, but the SGN ad i quoted had it for the $45 "special package deal." your best bet is to call them and tell them you saw it in the SGN ad (i think they are still running it); they are slow to answer their e.mail (not to mention the holidays).

overall, i am satisfied with the unit. it didn't come with instructions (as it was supposed to), but it wasn't very complicated– just kind of a minor PITA to install if you have the M4-style double heatshields.

for the money, it's hard to beat– considering just a foregrip will set you back 50-60 bones and basically any rail system starts @ $200 and up. i just wouldn't mount a laser or any kind of optic sight [on the AAC unit]; when mounted, there is still some movement (as the handguard itself moves). i guess a light would be okay. hope this helps.

Hey Ron556,

Thanks for the very informative post!  Great information.  I'll check out SGN at my earliest convenience.  My plan is to get the full length rail for M4 handguards and a foregrip and be done.

Thanks again!

I second Ron556,I was confused also but when I called and asked for the SGN special they set me right up.I recommend the Full length rail.If you have M4 guards with glued in shields I hear you can fish the nut in so you don't have to remove the shield.I have Bushy guards so that was not a problem.Overall I am extremely pleased with the combo and mine did come with instructions and a beautiful catalog.

When I called about the full length rail, they asked if I wanted the grip also for the $45 price.  When I was looking at their website, I noticed the same thing you did about the prices.  I figured the higher price was either something different, or a mistake on their part -- I didn't realize it was a special deal.  I ordered and received my full length rail about 2 weeks ago.
