Hi guys,

I just picked up a RRA 9mm AR.  It came with a standard single stage trigger.  My problem is that the pull is super heavy.  I know it will never be as smooth or as crisp as my RRA 2 stage but I was wondering if there is anything I can do to adjust it?

Can I, or a gunsmith lighten the pull on this trigger?

15 Minute Trigger Job

I also cut the tang off the hammer to increase the speed and prevent light strikes on super-hard mil-surp primers.

Wow,

NoAim,  I really must thank you again for pointing me towards this thread.  When I first fired my new rifle I was actually a bit upset about the heavy trigger.  I followed the steps described and hit the range this morning and it shot like a dream.

Thanks again,

also, I would highly reccomend this modification to anyone.

Wow what a world of difference!

I just did that trigger job to my Bushy and it went from 3-stage, 8lb pull to crisp 5lb pull with almost no creep.

I don't think it gets any better if you want to stay stock!

I have done it just recently also and recommend it. Except I didn't polish the parts, just dremeled with diamond bit like I used to do my 10/22. Very smooth and easy trigger now. Only complaint is the stock trigger travel is still there. No problem for a dremel either but you gotta draw the line somewhere for safety's sake.
