No modifications needed...just the A2 buttstock kit....Don't forget the buffer also

They handle much differently with a fixed stock and for whatever reason feel more compact, obviously not so.

Sputnik, I got to use one of my buddies rifles with an A2 stock on it the other night and loved it. Like you said, feels more compact but isnt. I just love the way they feel and I prefer the looks over an adjustable.
