Which will be more accurate?

Not to be harsh, but try the search engine and the FAQs, this is a very common question.

SS will be more accueate until the throat erodes.   High power shooters go through barrels in 1000-4000 rounds.  A normal person satisfied with 0.75MOA-1MOA probably won't notice for 5000-10000 rounds.

I did a search:  NADA ZIPPO NOTHING!

Non chrome has the greater potential for accuracy.  The rest is up to how it is set up,,,,,free float tube, accurate reloads or match ammo, scope........operator.   Under 150 yds at a man size target it won't  make a difference.

I just did a search using 'chrome' as the keyword, board = AR15 and date range = 30 days.

Stainless or chrome

chrome moly and chrome lined barrel life
Chrome lined Colt versus standard Chrome chamber only 4150 barrel
Accuracy difference between SS & Chromemoly

I used chrome barrel.

I always say you have to be smarter than the equipment your operating.

chromelining will not effect the accuracy of your rifle...  i've seen chromelined barrels including my own rifle shoot very nice groups... obviously if you want high accuracy go with Stainless... but chromelining has a lot of benifits over chromemoly

Its not the lining its the barrel quality.  There are 1/4 MOA chrome bores and 4 MOA chrome bores just like unchromed bores.  Chrome lining does not necessarily mean less accuracy.  My 14.5" M4 profile barrel does 1 MOA with factory ammo.  A chrome lined SPR bolt gun will do .25-.5 MOA.

What he said..

My chrome lined 16" does sub-MOA with heavy match loads, and under 2MOA with quality M193.

Did I get lucky and get a good barrel?  Yes, not because of anything to do with the chrome lining, but because this barrel was not reamed from a match barrel blank.. just a standard old barrel blank.

I'd wager a chrome-lined barrel from a match barrel blank would be just as accurate as any other non-chrome lined match barrel.
