A few years back I bought a replacement buffer tube from Brownells for my older Essential Arms fraken CAR shorty. Once I installed the tube and put my existing CAR stock back on, the fit between butt stock and said tube was very wobbly and loose. It functions fine but the looseness is not acceptable. The original tube which needed replacing mated with the adjustable stock nicely.

Now that the bullshit AWB has left us in peace, my next build will be a collapsible, 16" midlength gas setup. I'll use Mega's upper and lower and I'll probably score the barrel and other essentials from RR or Armalite. I would like to use colorful furniture as can be procured from Cav Arms.

I am concerned about running into a similar problem having a collapsible stock from Cav Arms fitting poorly with a buffer tube from RR, Armalite, Bushy or anyone for that matter.

Has anyone had any issues using a combination of parts like this Or better yet, does anyone have nothing but happiness from a certain combination like this that I may duplicate?

Your feedback is always greatly appreciated! Long live Arfcom.
