Is is more of a sin to covet your rifles or to covet your license to make the rifles?

You Evil Evil man. You taunt us with your firepower. I think I'll go sit in a corner now and cry.

this is a dumb question for most of you but who could buy one of them now?

My guess would be law enforcement or another SOT. |

Morning all. I am up now after a nice 14 hours sleep The rail is a Troy MRF-C. Denny |

LE Department, .gov, .mil, Class II or Class III dealer with a demonstration request letter from any of the previous mentioned orgs. Denny |

We can build a similar rifle in SBR without the happy switch in states that allow them. Silencer also where allowed. We just do an SBR registration with BATFE and tranfer it to your class 3 dealer. If you are an FFL licensee I can just form 4 it directly to you. Once again state restrictions apply. $200 tax on a SBR. Denny |

Burst or FA? I think I already know the answer. Why would anyone want burst. I hated burst on my M16A2s. useless IMO. Beautiful piece of work! |
|
I'm still amazed at the number of various configurations and different ways you can make an AR look.
That being said, that sure is an ugly bastard. Awfully fun though I'd reckon! |
|
First off, MarkM says you're an idiot since you use KNS's.
Secondly, what would you say the chances of me picking up one of those here in the PRK are? In all seriousness, how difficult (and how much $$$) is it to get all of the approvals necessary to mfg pretty much anything evil you want? Enquiring minds want to know |
|
That is a big part of the appeal of the M16 platform. I have around 20 uppers I can slap on her in a few seconds. Denny Oh yeah. Full auto no burst Edited for spelling. My typing sucking worse than usual today Denny |

New to the AR world here so I pretty much dont have a clue what I am talking about.
What does it take to convert a AR 15 to an M 16. I dont have any interest in doing this, but just curious. Also what does it take to own a full auto gun? Since the military has been using the m16 for quite a while, what happens to all the old m16 surplus guns. Do they sell them off to contries that dont have auto gun bans or what? I have read somewhere that if you have just one m16 part in your gun that it is illegal, is this true? Seems kinda dumb if your gun isnt auto. |
|
your best bet is to ask that question in the M16 Full Auto forum. Noone's going to touch that here. It will just take this thread Off Topic and might end up getting it locked. |

Swap a few AR-15 parts for M16 parts. The problem is that new manufacture of machineguns for civilans was banned in 1986. The only machineguns available to civilians are those that were made and registered before that cut-off date.
To simplify the process: first, machineguns need to be legal in your state of residence. Then you must fill out the correct paperwork, have your local chief law enforcement officer sign it, be fingerprinted and photographed, then send it all into the BATF with $200. Then you wait months for approval.
I'd recommend that the only M16 part you have in an AR-15 rifle be the bolt carrier. M16 lower receiver parts could possibly land you in trouble. |

|
Or you can incorporate and skip the LEO sign off fingerprints, etc. Still costs $200 to transfer, still have to file paperwork. Of course must still be legal in your state as stated above. Of course must be transferable. If it says sample or Demo, it's a dealer only MG. |

Denny once again you add to the hatred I have for you Sweet ass rifle
|
|
1) Hate you, Love, Glenn
2) Next time you have one of these "ugly duckling" lowers come back because of such horrible blems, I'll save you the trouble of all the work you did and even PAY you to send the poor thing to me for proper treatment and rehabilitation. 3) It appears that a manufacturer can simply make whatever the hell he wants to, just as long as he properly registers it with BATFE. If that's the case, didn't your operation just eat a fairly large amount of money on this particular toy? Not that having a wonderful toy like this is a bad thing, but wasn't it expensive for you? 4) Did I say I hate you? Thought so. |
|
Off topic, but I didnt know you were in Kansas City. Do you have a store front? I am in Kansas City on business maybe twice a year and going there next in June. Our firms headquarters is in Leawood.
