yeah gun pics
I get no end of amusement out of these, even if I have seen a bazillion photos of ARs. Need a sling for that bad boy! |
You fixed it
Cool pics, thanks for posting! And that is a nice range, I'm jealous! |
I have one, just don't attach it when only shooting off-hand for the day |
Nice range and a sweet rifle! My next project will be a standard 20” A2.
Thats a sweet range!
Shooting several steel targets at different distances would be way more fun than shooting paper. But most public ranges don't allow it. Does yours? At the private range I go to, the aforementioned style of engagement is SOP. Hearing an audible ping from a steel target is very satisfying. Having several berms at different distances is cool! I wish we had mountains or hills atleast. Gotta love a 20" A2. HS1 |
Great pictures!
Wish there was a range like that around central Ohio. |
Yup, and they provide the steel targets. At all distances we have boards for targets. At 100m, bowling pins. 200m - 4 steel chickens, 300m - 2 steel pig, 400m - 2 steel turkey, 500m - 1 steel ram. Nothing like shooting tracers at the ram, watchign them hit, and then hearing the clang. ETA: It's not a public range. Members pay $100 a year, for that range, a full sporting clays course, several bow ranges, indoor pistol range, black-powder/shotgun range, 25m pistol range, and another smaller rifle range with distances of 25m, 50m and 100m. Never any RO's, just get some executive officers walking around every month or so to see if people are wearing member tags. Most practice good gun safety, but I've seen horrible displays by some. I often have the range to myself however. Nothing like taking my WASR-10 10 yards away from a berm, throwing some intact clay pigeons on the dirt, and bumping a mag into them. |

FRIGGEN AWESOME!!!! NOW THAT RANGE JUST GOT A LOT COOLER!!!! HS1 |

Atglen Sportsmens Club, around Octorara PA. |

Yeah, can't beat access 365 for the facilities. |

Thanks for sharing!
Im surprised the ammo didnt bounce off the paper! (joke... who caught that thread before it got locked?) |
Not only did some of that horrible Wolf bounce off the paper, but it also destroyed my rifle, held me at gunpoint, stole my wallet, and burned my car |
Sweet range! Resize the pics next time I'm getting carpal tunnel scrolling back and forth to see the whole pic!

www.nationaltarget.com/cgi-bin/miva?Merchant2/merchant.mv+Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=NT&Category_Code=BOB ITT 3/2, $14 for 100. They arrived two days after I placed the order. |

Pictures and range = very cool.
Wolf in your AR15 = very uncool. :) - rem |
I can no longer justify buying XM193 when Wolf is half the price. College budget, plus I need practice. Wolf delivers. |
Why not go with Federal American Eagle 55gr and 62gr? THey aren't as hot as Wolf but they are cleaner and more reliable. They are priced at like $95.00 for 500rnds or something. I'd rather have 500rnds of cleaner and more consistent ammo than 1000rnds of Wolf. - rem |

Change your screen resolution to something higher. Amazing difference, unless you got bad eyes. |
First, that is a great range!
Second, feed your Bushmaster some better ammo. China-Mart has Remington .223 for just $3.97 a box. |
Sounds like a good time!
Just an idea... Photobucket has an edit function. If you use the edit function, you can make the image 75% of the original size and they would be perfect. They aren't huge pics, but just a tiny bit large for some monitors. |
Well, it's only used as practice ammo. It goes bang when I pull the trigger. It gives me a general idea of how I'm doing. Practice makes perfect, so the more I practice, the better I'll get. And yes, I do dry-fire a ton (it gets old). |
+1 But let's not turn this into a Wolf sucks or Wolf is the best ammo in the world. Nice rifle, range, and shooting. |
Awesome range and an awesome price ($100/year)!!!
Looks like you had fun. |
What range do ou attend in FL? |
What, that wasn't for real??? Everyone knows that a 5.56 will just bounce off people. to the poster of that thread, say this real fast: I'm sofa king wee ta did |
BTW, Walrus, very good range report. I enjoyed it. Good shooting too. Watch out for the anti wolfers though!!!
The range clubhouse looks like any one of a thousand Air Force buildings painted "Creech brown." And the concrete strips make it look like this was a trailer or RV park once... So where is this range and what's it called?
Atglen Sportmens Club, as said above, in PA. The concrete strips lead up to shooting positions for sporting clays. |
