If the 94AWB expires will we be able to own short barreled rifles or are they covered by a different ban. Thanks for the info.

Short Barreled Rifles, Short Barrel Shotguns, AOWs, Suppressors and Machineguns are regulated by the National Firearms Act of 1934 and it's associated laws. When/if the Assault Weapons Ban goes away, the above NFA weapons status would be unchanged and they would still be subject to the manufacturing and transfer rules currently in place.

Devl, educate me please I'm pretty sure it takes a law enforcment sign off but the one thing I never heard addressed around here is how should a person approach the Sheriff or Chief. I'm gonna start a new thread for this one. Thanks Glockdog Airborne!

Your local class III dealer will have suggestions on who to contact. You can also start a corporation and have the SBR transfered to your corporation thus negating the need for an FBI background check or the CLEO sign off.
