I was offered a 10.5 inch AR upper.   A uncle pass away and his belongings were distrubed among the family.  I was offered the upper.   Is it legal to possess?

Thanks

yes, but be sure to have a dealer perminently attach a 5.5" Flash Hider, before you attach it to a rifle.

(unless the rifle is registered as either an M16, registered reciever or SBR)

A 10.5 and 5.5 FH will not give you what you need to be legal.. If you dont own an AR, and you have the upper, you are fine...

Or you could SBR it. I am assuming noone has said this because hes in CA?? I wouldn't be suprised if your cannot have a SBR there. And to be legal you would have to get one of the FAB-10 lowers that only holds 10.
