So I have a 7.5" barrel with a 1:9 twist.

I asked about 77grain ammo & they said that it would be too heavy to stabalize and that a 1:9 would make a 77grn keyhole.

He then said that I should only shoot 55grn & that I would be lucky to get above 2000fps from a the 7.5" barrel.

???

This is the 1st I've ever heard about a 77grn  not able to stabalize from a 1:9.

Is this total BS?

Thanks!

Ok 1:7 is a faster spin rate than 1:9.

But does that really mean that from a 7.5" barrel I can only use 55grn to get a stabalized round?
