Okay so my most recent build was having a problem. It was having light primer strikes but only when I was doing hammer drills (double taps). I had narrowed it down to three things that could be causing it. 1 I was using a BCM h2 buffer with a cheap ATI spring. 2 the trigger group was out of spec. Or 3 gas system wasn't aligned properly. Info about gun. Anderson arms lower receiver with Aeroprecison upper receiver. Daniel Defense 14.5" CHF barrel. DD low pro gas block. BCM BCG. BCM charging handle. PSA lower parts kit. So first thing I did was double check the gas block and all seemed good. Next I was in the middle of another build and decided to order the Spikes Tactical ST2 tube, spring and buffer kit so figured I would just order two sets and see if it worked. If that didn't work I was going to get a new trigger group. Well went to the range today with new buffer kit installed and took another lower with a different trigger group just in case. The rifle ran flawlessly with the new buffer combo installed even running crappy tulammo. Needless to say I am happy that all is well now but I am just trying to understand why it was happening with the BCM h2 buffer and ATI spring. All feedback is welcome and much appreciated.
