I must have seen about 50 of them at the latest show. Every booth was pimping them, I even saw one for $2,600! Thank gawd my build is only going to be about $600, maybe I can find a sucker who'll pay $1,300 for it

i see a lot of stripped lowers advertised as "pistol lowers" but are the exact same lower that is sitting next to it but $30 more.

Which is the exact opposite around here. You literally can NOT buy an AR pistol at our gunshows. Not even just an upper. Closest I've seen is an 11.5'' barrel all alone. Some of us just haven't embraced the technology yet.

Gunshows are Magnets for MORONS.  So AR pistols would be a PERFECT feature there!

Nice, way to help the libtards & gungrabbers divide us...
I say to each his own with AR's, if someone wants to make or buy an AR pistol at a gunshow, why do you care enough to put them down here on the AR pistol forum?

Bite me, CRETIN.  I go to gunshows, as do many of my friends, and we are definitely NOT morons, whether we are there just to look, or to buy beef jerky, magic polishing cloth, butterfly knives, or M1 Garands.  It's none of your business what I spend my money on.  If I want to buy a .410 derringer, a Boyes Anti-tank rifle, one of those prototype cell-phone pistols, or any other legal firearm, I will, and you can pack your opinions about it in a deep, dark, smelly place.  I'm sick of "experts" insulting other firearm enthusiasts because of the firearms they choose to own and enjoy.

As I tell my wife whenevery I buy a new gun - At least I'm not into racecars and hookers, honey!  Now THERE's a waste of money, IMHO, but lots of guys would disagree with me on that one, too.  I still don't insult them over it.

ps - just noticed your signature line:

"AR15.com where both should be banned!"

Screw you, MORON.  With your opinions on the subject, why are you even wasting your time checking out the threads on the AR PISTOL FORUM unless you're just trolling for a fight?  Dork.

Ahhhh, yes.

Markm riles up the newbs....

I may be a newb here, but I have several decades of firearms experience.

The root question remains - if you don't like the platform, fine.  But why do you have to insult fellow firearms enthusiasts who enjoy it?  Does every gun I own have to be practical according to MarkM?

Speaking on behalf of all my kind (see name), I'd just like to say that not only does this special mountain blend taste better - but has 1/3 more caffeine =)

But to the point, I LOVE my AR-15 pistol. The only time I have a bigger perma-grin is when I shoot something on full-auto or use something with HE >=)

That said, I'd like to be another FNG to this board that gets bent around the axle when an individual who is obviously interested in (or secretly wants) an AR-15 pistol but is not mature enough to find a better outlet for channeling their "issues" elsewhere.

Maybe this individual can explain their view point?

I personally love going to gunshows just to look at all the gun-porn, but not to listen to the rantings of some "government-out-to-get-us" sellers of (*insert-booth-type-here*). Most of the dealers are nice folks just trying to make a living, so please don't look down on them.

I usually just shake my head at the wannabe thugs who think getting that two-foot knife is going to get them whatever they are missing inside. You know the guy - wants any kind of weapon, as long as it will get him respect.

Which isn't that what we are all looking for? Something that fills that void or makes us happy?
And if an AR-15 pistol makes that happen for some of us, why would you be cruel about it?

At least be a man and stand for something, instead of taking pop-shots at others who do stand-up.

First to markm,

Even if you were just kidding around, statements like that make you look like a complete asshole!

Next on to MoronWgun,

If you own an AR15 pistol, and you have experience with full auto weapons why would you have posted this in the Rock River Arms, Pistol Thread..................

Actually, looking at the pictures... doesn't it make them all SBRs? And then you'll need the specific tax stamp to own it, right?

And wouldn't that make purchasing it a much harder process? (Time for submittal, processing by BATFE, etc)

Or am I missing something?
If someone (LE or legal type) could jump in here?

RPD20,

Thx...

So we are looking at this as a pistol until someone changes the recoil tube for a buttstock (or stock), at which time it becomes a SBR.

Still, with the general look of a shortie, I'd hate to have to explain myself to LE and constantly care around paper work to prove it. At that point, you might as well get the tax stamp and make it "legit" and apparent/obvious to anyone that it is.

For the rest of you, check out the RRA Pistol AR thread and you will understand...............

You sir are not only a Moron, but a liar also!

I too live in Florida (North Central) and was wondering what gun show you attended.

BTW. I find you can get some good deals on bulk ammo, meet other enthusiasts in your area and usually find some pretty interesting firearms to boot. All in all, not a bad way to spend an afternoon.

RPD20,

Ok, what am I a liar about? That I have fired full-automatic weapons? Because I have, on a number of occasions. I actually have had them ISSUED to me while in training or in the field.

I NEVER said that I own any, they are in a price range that is way to high for me.

The thread you linked to is mine. And if you look at it, those weapons are going to cause any LE that sees them to THINK THE SAME THING. AR-15 builds with SHORT barrels. The only two things missing are a stock and/or a pistol foregrip. So I asked the question, what makes these any different from the SBRs. And you told me, the buttstock/stock is not attached.

I still am going to give my $.02 on it.

And yes, I own an AR-15 pistol from BM, but it does not have all the accessories on it that make it LOOK like a shortie.

I'm not sure what I have done to offend you, so obviously I have no idea what you are getting at.

Feel free to clarify.
