The lead wedge that Bushmaster (and others) sell will fit in the stock and help steady the rifle for match shooting. But if you intend to ever CARRY this rifle, you'll do a lot better going the other way: LIGHTEN the rifle by having the barrel turned down under the handguards like an M16A2 barrel. Kurt can do this and refinish your barrel for about $60 IIRC. It removes a pound of barrel, which makes a huge difference in weight, but virtually nothing in accuracy.

I used lead flashing to make a custom buttstock weight. Cut a 30-60-90 triangle of flashing, roll it up tight and put in the stock of the rifle. Make it heavier than you want. That way you can remove weight until it's just right. At that point, wrap the whole thing in duct tape to protect the foam in the stock and make it quieter. I'm happy with mine.
