I see that the lower and uppers are very limited in the AR-10's. I have never been a DPMS fan but have read that their AR-10 stuff is pretty good. I want to build a nice .243. Any suggestions on the receivers?? Are there any others that maybe better??

Armalite used to have a .243 available...not sure how difficult adapting a DPMS would be.

I would say go with Armalite. But then I am a little biased towards them.

Yes they still do... But, I would like to build my own. I might have to start with a full rifle for this build. Hope not. Might get into alot of cash than. Seems to be alot of .243 interest though. I will keep on searching I guess... Thanks for your input . I do appreciate it. Nice to get some anyway.

DPMS doesn make any AR-10 stuff.

Of all the 308 variants They all are different, DPMS uses extruded aluminum parts not forgings. Eagle arms (division of Armalite)would be your only choice for striped AR-10 receivers for a build up.
Armalite still makes .243 barrels just in small production runs IIrc . I would call them and ask if they had any available or when the next production run will be.

7mm-08 would be a nice chambering too. I've been planning a build also I'm torn between .243 and 260 rem
Also watch the EE barrels are on there every once in a while. or you can also have one made how ever you want it what ever caliber.
