I have discussed this awhile back about setting up an Aimpoint. My ARMS QD throwlever had the 2 base screws come loose from the lower rings and I Loctited them on with Blue Loctite.

Question is, I have had several people tell me either to or NOT to Loctite the 4 small screws that clamp the Upper ring to the lower ring. I have been told those screws will loosen up, back out and I will lose Zero or worse lose a screw, I have been told they will NEVER come loose, I have been told there is some special reason you do NOT Loctite them in which escapes my memory. Experienced Aimpoint/ARMS mount shooters please tell me what the SOP is on this. What are the boys in the Sandbox doing with theirs? Are their any Armorers out there who know? Any 3 Gunners who know the skinny on "To loctite or not to Loctite, that is the question?"

God Bless

Is this such a ridiculous question?
