Hello together,
at the moment I already own an AR15 plattform made by Schmeisser Germany & a DAR Upper System (also made in Germany). As AR parts in Germany are quite expensive (Lower stripped min, 320, USD) I am just checking the possibilities to get some parts from the US. Parts as Lower & Upper Receiver Parts Kits Bolt Carrier These parts are available in Germany without any license / restrictions. Unfortunately I could not find a dealer who ship internationally. Is there any possibility to get some items from the US according to the law? Which paperwork is needed to get this done? Many thanks & Greets from Germany |

ITAR. Learn it and dont mess with it. You can catch a federal charge for each little part that breaks the law.

Many thanks for your answers & the Wiki link The ITAR seems to be really strict. There is no chance to get these parts. I have to count on german parts in the future and have to spend more money. Greets |

That's the reason parts are so expensive in Europe.
The importers who do go through the paperwork hurdles generally have to buy large quantities to justify th eexport expenses, and they still have to apply their mark-up to an already expensive (to them) product. Having a captive market doesn't hurt either. Have to tried Oberland Arms and some of the other sin Europe who are making some of their own components? Steve/RRA |
